The times we live in invite questions about the meaning of developing individual artistic skills. Virtuosity can certainly be acquired — but will it still allow us to create true art? This course won’t answer that question directly, but it’s worth keeping in mind.
This course won’t answer that question directly, but it’s worth keeping in mind. No more than 1–2 hours a day, so you don’t get discouraged. This course prepares adults for independent learning in painting and drawing, focusing on foundational topics.
Thank you for your interest in my painting and drawing course for adults!
Starting your art education as a beginner is probably a great idea! Please note that to take part in this course, you’ll need a few basic materials: pencils, brushes, paper, paints, etc. You’ll also need an easel and a board to hold your drawing and painting paper.
The most important item is the easel—but don’t worry!
Many are inexpensive. If you’re just starting your painting journey, it’s better to choose a cheaper easel — you don’t yet know if painting and drawing will suit you. I recommend an outdoor easel that works well both indoors and outside. If you plan to work mostly indoors, consider a budget-friendly studio easel. It’s best to draw and paint while standing—keep that in mind when choosing your easel.
